1985- Bowling For Soup

Brings me back :’) Love this video and I wish MTV/VH1 still played ’80s music instead of the crap reality TV on it now… but I’m definitely preoccupied in 1985… even if I wasn’t even alive then… whatevaaa ♥

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (NBC) ↘

I know I’m on a roll with Jimmy Fallon stuff, but I don’t give a fuck.

Watch the videos, especially the “Jersey Floor” and “Real Housewives of Late Night” ones.

So funny. Everyone on that show rocks.

TRUTH TUESDAY

What is “Truth Tuesday?”

According to Cams, it is “where we give a truth about ourselves, or something else.”

I think this is a good idea, so it shall be done.

So, lately, I’ve been fascinated by church signs. I never realized until now that they change about once a week, and they always have an interesting statement on them.
There is a church right by house that always has the most random signs in the front, and this is one that I saw a couple months ago that stood out to me.
If I see any more, I will post them.
Love ya,

Oh the living, how they stink! They stink! They do! They rot but do not decompose. And each day, these walking, stinking, breathing monsters devour whole forests of animals, entire oceans of fish, great farms of vegetables and to what end? That they may shit and fart and piss their way through another day of violence and indifference.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

This is Jenny by The Maine a beautiful song just off their most recent album Pioneer. The song is about lead singer, John O’Callaghan’s mom. I wanted to share this song because well just listen to it! It’s not only adorable that he’s singing about his mom, but the lyrics are incredibly captivating.

The reason why I chose this particular song off the album is because I have this rock solid relationship with my mom. No judgement, no lies, and the song reminds me of that bond, which is nice having that reminder that I have got this amazing woman looking out for me.

The song not only expresses John’s connection to his mom, but also the fact that she’s not done living yet. Which brings me to this idea that age is just a number. An insignificant number.

In my eyes, we’re not done living until we’re dead.

You’re so young and still so free

It’s important to remember that. Growing up doesn’t mean we’re done living. We’re still free to try new things, to explore, to meet new people. I think when we grow up and we’re up to our necks in responsibilities we forget that, so here’s a small reminder.

Enjoy!
